The future of all the East Newark students, depends on making sure all students get those extremely helpful iPod Touches right away!

Example:

First of all, Jose knows that he could be smarter with a new iPod Touch. Jose read in a recent Newsweek that students with “smart phones” score 35% higher on tests. That’s why he asked his parents for a new iPod touch.  Unfortunately however, Jose’s parents need to save money during this economic recession, so they told him it was impossible to get the phone. Can you imagine how hard it must have been to tell your son that he has to miss out on being smart just because of something was too expensive? This is why we must work to find ways to get Jose and all East Newark students those new iPod Touches.

Second of all, Jose knows that he could be happier with a new iPod Touch.

“Hey Jose, what’s wrong?  You look so sad today,” asked Jose’s best friend Jenny.

“Oh, wazzup, Jen?  I don’t know.  I just feel so bored and depressed.”

“No problem!  My parents just got me a new Ipod Touch.  What do you want to do?  We can call Marcos and Diana and see what they’re doing.  Or we can you’re your favorite game Nazi Zombies 2D.  Or what about taking funny pictures of ourselves and posting it to our Edmodo account?  I know!  Let’s do the fun, new Study Island assignments Mr. Mach finally assigned!  The best part is that we can listen to the New Lil Wayne album while we work on it.”

“Hey that sounds awesome!  Wow! That iPod Touch can do everything.  If I want to stay happy this winter, I have just GOT to find a way to get one.”

“Do you want to go online and research ways we can have fund raisers to get money for our school to buy one for each of us?”

“Great idea!  We will become legends in East Newark forever if we could do that!  I feel so much better already.  Thanks, Jenny.”

Can you imagine students leading happier, more interesting and fulfilling lives because an iPod Touch?  What kind of person doesn’t want children to be as happy as possible? If you don’t want the children of East Newark to be depressed, then you have to help find a way to get them all iPod Touches.

Finally, and most importantly, Jose knows that he could be safer with a new iPod Touch. While Jose and Jenny were writing persuasive emails to Walmart trying to convince them to donate some iPods to East Newark, an old, rusty, black van pulled up to the front porch of Jose’s house.  A dirty, smelly man rolls down a smoky window and pokes his bald, greasy head out of it.

“Hey girl, I just came from the hospital.  Your mom was in a car accident.  She asked me to pick you up!  She said she needs you!  Quick!  Get in the back of the van, and I’ll take you there now!”

“OMG!  That’s horrible,” said Jenny, “I’m dialing her number right now on my iPod Touch… Hi, mom!?  Are you ok?… you are?  You’re at home!?  Mom, there is a strange man here that says he wants Jose and me to get in the back of his black, Chevy van.  Yes, his license plates are VE2-NJ9.  OK.  I’ll tell him…  My mom says she’s calling the cops on her other phone.  You better drive away fast buddy.  I doubt that East Newark cops like kidnappers in their town.  Plus, I’m taking a picture of you and your van with my iPod touch right now.” Can you imagine what could have happened if Jenny and Jose got in the van? Can you imagine how Jenny’s mom would have felt if she had told her she couldn’t have that iPod Touch that saved her? For the sake of the safety and lives of our children like Jose and Jenny, we absolutely must find a way to get them all iPod Touches.

The first reason that all students should get iPod Touches is because it is proven that technology can make students smarter. Research has proven that test scores of students with “smart phones” are 35% higher than students without. This is important because if East Newark wants big test score increases than all it has to do it by new iPod Touches for students. Please picture in your mind, lots of awards and scholarships being given to high scoring East Newark students if iPod touches were given to each student.
